Andy Burnham entering Parliament through a by-election in the middle of Labour’s collapse is being treated by Westminster as some grand rescue mission. But look closer. A sitting Labour MP suddenly steps aside. Burnham is handed a supposedly “safe” seat. The establishment rallies behind him. And now Nigel Farage says Reform will throw everything at the race because Labour may actually lose it. If Burnham cannot hold Makerfield — a seat Labour has controlled since 1983 — then the myth that Labour can simply “replace Starmer and recover” dies instantly. This by-election could become the moment the entire political system realises the electorate is no longer playing by the old rules.

@DanielJHannan What happens when the 'Delivery Unit' fails to deliver anything of any use? Can we just go back to the old days where, for example, the police used to arrest criminals and not law-abiding people for speaking their minds?

Moments ago a suspected lefty agitator was ejected from the UTK event. "Look at her she has a right lefty look on her face!" someone shouts🤣 She was stood right near the front and was called out by others in the crowd. Security dealt with the incident swiftly.

@stuey_beef Green party also pledging to chuck everything and the kitchen sink into the race. All the whilst Starmer probably got enough allies in the party infrastructure to make sure Burnham doesn't get the full resources of the Labour party.

@doctor_rahmeh 1. How do you know it’s even a woman, might be a bloke with a suicide vest. 2. How do you know she’s not screaming for help to remove her shroud? 3. The silly bitch is in a priority seat. Maybe pregnant, can’t tell because of shroud. Probably just entitled.

@ahmedsohail @ozcarptweets @Nd47273926 It most certainly has. The scale was small because there were less Pakistani pedos, as the number of filthy cunts increased so did the rapes. Ask your grandad.

I attended the Unite The Kingdom rally today to do interviews with participants and understand, in their own words, why they were there. While I found some of the speakers addressing the rally genuinely abhorrent, the people I spoke to were quite decidedly… not. (1/7)

I am absolutely appalled by the decision of the new Reform UK administration at @Essex_CC removing the Ukrainian flag that has flown in support since the start of the war. Disgusting behaviour! As suspected proves they are Putin sympathisers! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Essex County Council is broken. We have huge issues with funding social care, potholes, huge capital projects, the worst SEN provision in the UK and more. What is Reform's priority? Remove the flag of our ally. These people are nothing more than plastic patriots.

At Gillas Lane Primary, the new free breakfast club is delivering calmer classrooms, higher standards and happier children. Labour is rolling out breakfast clubs across England to give every child the best possible start to the school day.

I don't think the people who support Tommy really care about what he does. I mean just look at us here in the US. 49% of the people voted for a man who has 43 convictions for falsifying business records has been accused by at minimum 26 women of sexual assault and is fairly openly a racist And even had a tape where he talked about grabbing women by their lady parts because he's rich and he can do it and get away with it. None of these people cared that he did all of those things he told them he would be their revenge for their political perceived victimhood but the one thing he's accomplished most is getting private money into his own pocket. That's the problem with the right wing. As long as somebody intimates that they're going to get rid of all those people whose skin color isn't white and they're going to join up with all those billionaires some of the people worship they're just fine with anything these types of leaders do.

The Unite the Kingdom march organisers are spreading hatred and division. They do not reflect the Britain I’m proud of. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right and one I will always protect. But if protest turns violent, we will act swiftly, with extra court capacity in place.

@narindertweets So you are ok with giving an extremist, racist Egyptian man British citizenship, welcoming an ex member of Al-Quaeda to No. 10 & allowing open support of Hamas but disagreeing with left wing political views is bigotry?

Imagine hating on the Prime Minister because he is doing his job and protecting ethnic minorities from hate and abuse. You'd have to be a complete bigot to criticise this stance.
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.
