If you see someone shamefully using the horrific situation in Parnell Sq to stoke fear or hate, report their post.
Shut down their misinformation machine. Dont let the far right use tragedy to spread their bile.
Went to St Patrick’s cathedral to see the Queen tribute band last night. Fantastic. Never saw a Garda from Capel street to the bull and castle or from there to the cathedral and back. The city felt edgy after the gig. Few drinks then we left at 1 pm. Glad to get home
@AnthonyICHH@DubCityCouncil@DCCnorthcity That’s household waste, there is a jar of beetroot there. In fairness they can’t be held responsible if people are putting a weeks worth of rubbish in. It’s supposed to be for odd bottles or wrappers etc
@frankmcdonald60 How is it shocking? It was never a pleasant street, only marginally bigger/more trafficked than the lane ways around town used for drugs and taking a piss. At least the facade of a new building might be cleaned and maintained by its owners
Shocking to see what's happening to Dublin's Great Strand Street, which despite its grand name, was a modest back street lined with mainly three-storey warehouse buildings. The Morrison Hotel broke that mode, and now it has this new "apart-hotel" that fronts onto Ormond Quay.
@stephenkinsella@sundaybusiness The procurement process for mega projects needs to be improved, unfortunately the problems don’t arise until the construction stage, at which point it’s the contractors fault. Case in point with National Children’s Hos.
In tomorrow’s @sundaybusiness I’m looking at megaprojects—capital projects costing more than 1 billion euros and affecting 1 million people or more. They are colossal, controversial, and complex. What should we do with them? What is the international experience?
In a busy week this happened. Thanks for tip-off from @AnTaisce Hopefully next week's elections will see more councillors elected who are keen to defend our heritage
