🤬🤬🤬 Not only do we not get any Snow at all in Vancouver on Thursday or Friday. But this stupid Atmospheric River pushes away all the cold air for Saturday's Storm. Go North or go East, because Saturday is all Rain in the city. Goodbye for now, Winter!

@SeattleWXGuy @YouTube Well doesn’t look to impact Seattle north. Guess we’ll just have to wait until next year for a more widespread event. Thanks for the vid

#wawx Dry, east, snow eating winds will limit snow accumulation for most areas east of Seattle. But moisture trends north include some other lucky areas, like the Kitsap Penninsula

@wx_washington2 Would be fun if this materializes. However, will probably melt in a day as temps rise considerably beyond Friday of next week.

The systems on Thu night and next Sat look potentially interesting as we transition into a warmer wetter pattern. This is the 12Z ECMWF - subject to a lot of change of course.

@SeattleWXGuy @YouTube Looks like an interesting event. I think I understand evaporative cooling, but according to the ensembles you showed, it looks like low 40s (in Seattle) on the days where the wet system meets with the arctic air in place. Would it start as snow, then switch to rain?

@SeattleWXGuy What exactly does this implicate? I’m a weather newbie.

If this easterly Jetstream verifies next week, do I have permission to call it the "Greenland Express"?

Lots of moisture still flowing over the region as our low pressure system spins over the Olympic Peninsula. Places Seattle to Everett and out to Island County look to be in the best spot for lingering bands of snow. Seattle also about to get hit by some nice snow showers here in a bit.

@josephrenalds Roads just super wet rn in Bothell. Don’t see any flakes at the moment. Roads could be very icy in the morning if we drop below freezing

❄️ACCUMULATING SNOW TONIGHT❄️ More snow is likely late tonight into early tomorrow, with 1-3” possible. Would guess we’ll see plenty of school closures (versus today’s delays) in the Puget Sound region tomorrow.

Extremely difficult forecast continues, several possibilities for snow, (none of them particularly high) for the Seattle Metro, but they do exist into next week. Some will only see flakes in the air, some could get more disruptive amounts (1-3"), nightmare forecast. #wawx

@WhidbeyWXGuy Will it be cold enough to accumulate? I thought the cold air wasn’t going to move in until Sunday. Either way, will be interesting to see what happens!

The afternoon HRRR shows widespread snow showers on Saturday with a couple inches of snow in areas. It tends to overdo the amount of showers in these types of events, but there will be a lot of moisture and cold air aloft so it will be a fun radar-watching day. #wawx #bcwx #orwx

@vlad_rad Looks like Seattle will be a bit too warm for any good snow accumulation sadly. Need that polar lobe to drop lower.. there’s still time

NWS Seattle is even starting to mention the possibility of lowland snow next weekend as Arctic air looks to make its way south. Still too far out for any details, but this is looking like the best shot we have gotten all winter.
