⚡️🇺🇸All joking aside. Two conclusions can be reached from the Iranian war: 1. The US retains the most lethal offensive stand-off capabilities of any nation on earth. Precision weaponry is top notch, although untested in EW-contested environments. Special Forces are probably still the best in the world, given that they're able to carry out serious missions, even amidst major failures, without taking heavy casualties. This is partly owing to highly specialized equipment, etc. But. 2. US has no defensive capabilities whatsoever. It's anti-air is nearly nonexistent and has not adapted to modern warfare, particularly drones, in any capacity. In gaming terms, the US would be the classic glass cannon. Massive best-in-class offensive firepower, short staying-power with low endurance and magazine depth, and nonexistent defensive capabilities. The problem is, as all pro sports fans know: defense wins championships. US: 9/10 on offense. 4/10 on defense. Russia: 7/10 on offense. 8.5/10 on defense. Russia would win.
