Are all the "AI-powered element locators" solutions for Selenium/Appium proprietary & cloud-dependent? Are there any, open source, and on-prem options? After years of avoiding the AI-hype, I finally (!) need this for my tests, but am leary about a cloud-only solution.

In happier news, Playwright has been absolutely solid, with none of the problems that we had with Cypress. No segfaults, no visits from the OOM killer, no weird assertion failures that happen exactly once and never again, no random failures to install the tool itself.

I spent ~20,000+ hours programming in Emacs. I finally decided to switch to VSCode. It feels like saying goodbye to an old friend. It's good to always be evolving, always willing to let go of the comfortable old way to discover a better new way.
