@bromprime @DimitrisSoudas Again… you’re not getting the point of the tax… it’s to integrate the cost of harm the product causes… We have a universal health care system… the taxes on alcohol & cigs help cover the heavy healthcare costs associated with overuse of those products.

Taxing is never a real solution, if it was working, people would have stopped drinking alcohol and smoking for example. It's just another money grabber

@bromprime @DimitrisSoudas Not having any problem with what Carney said. Carbon pricing is a market-based approach to cutting emissions… it’s capitalism. It’s also supported by economists, central banks, and conservative governments around the world.. Carney’s position is standard economics, not ideology.
