RT(T), RT(R) & CMD students at @stonybrooku teamed up for a day of IPE. The topic: imaging. We included our manikin Bruce, @mountsinairadonc virtual linac & @Elekta 's Contour System. Data shows an enhanced view of interprofessional collab & increased imaging/anatomy knowledge.

Challenging statistics. This led our team at @MountSinaiRO to develop the Ambulatory Safety Check. Categorizing pt mobility & determining assisted devices to ensure pt & staff safety. Thank you for all your support in the RTANYS conference @DigiaimoRon !

New York department of public safety shared statistics that healthcare works such as #Radiographers and #RTT suffered workplace injuries at a higher rate than construction workers. 62.6% of RTTs experienced occupational injuries, 43% required some time off and 24% had to access financial support from employers. Appropriate patient moving devices are absolutely necessary in all departments as all patients mobility is not always apparent. Assessments for mobility is necessary to help support our staff. 👍🏻 #imaging #radiology #radonc @OfficialRCCSInc
