@saveusculture If you do what people ask in the comments you'll be reposting these for years. I knew windows 3.1 well. And everything since. What people aren't remembering the the number of things you had installed was directly correlated to boot time. A blank slate on windows was always fast.

Okay, you people. I DECREASED the old computer specs to 486DX/33, 8MB, and 3600RPM HDD in order to give Windows 3.1 less of an advantage on such "fast" hardware, and captured my whole desktop with the clock and ambient audio so you can see and hear it isn't "sped up" (lol).

Microsoft announced plans to lower the baseline memory footprint of Windows 11. They want to reduce idle RAM usage by optimizing the operating system itself. On a clean Windows 11 25H2 install, the OS typically uses around 3.3 GB at idle. Real-world usage often climbs to 6 GB or more on 8 GB systems and over 10 GB on 16 GB systems due to background processes and features.

My updated impressions of Crimson Desert... The story isn't just mid. It's basically MIA, with the quests only there to facilitate exploration and introduce you to gameplay mechanics. It is not the Witcher 3, or breath of the wild, or even where the winds meet. Crimson desert is a true sandbox where you explore the world, do crazy things, and have punchy combat. Is it enjoyable? Yes, but only if you like that kind of completely open-ended sandbox experience. My main complaints remain the controls, which still feel laggy after the update, and the UI that still needs work. The game should also have had a character creator so that you can create your own character instead of playing Kliff, who has the personality of a potato. Other than that, the game is great. It feels like playing a completely insane, chaotic game where you can go from riding crazy mounts to doing feats that are impossible in other games. I don't think the game will ever breach 248k peak players, as it is a hardcore sandbox; it is not most players' cup of tea.

During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches. In parallel, we are reviewing and strengthening our internal processes to ensure greater transparency and consistency in how we communicate with players moving forward.

Easy to understand midwit ideas are amplified by hearsay. We can't necessarily tell in advance what is hard for them to understand. Where we may hold ideas eatablished internally from our first principles, we must assume others with similar ideology share such principles. However, they just believe things because they were told by an authority figure.

There really isnt a way to talk about how you are smarter than 99 percent of the worlds population based on IQ numbers without sounding like a jackass is there? Been talking to my therapist about this recently. I'm not autistic that I'm aware of, but I sometimes have issues understanding what is socially acceptable.
