I gave away 4 months of work for free. Late 2022 I built a tax calculator tool for Polkadot. It was the perfect business case. Many asked for it, no one offered it. I spent 4 months, 4 evenings per week of my free time to build my big product idea. Spent 5k EUR on lawyers to write the terms and conditions. Earned 550 USD with my first two customers. Then I dropped it. 3 complete code refactorings in. It ran in Google Cloud with orchestration and everything. I just hit another roadblock and had to do a fourth refactoring. It was too much. I had no team and was exhausted of 4 months with almost no free time. Since then, no one picked up the idea. Until the recent PBA cohort 6 and a new team wants to approach taxes in Polkadot. This should be a common good. So I gave them access to my private GitHub repo with 4 months of my life for free to use for reference. I hope they succeed!
