@BeattieDoug New Ireland, new Ulster. If this happened we still need strong voice’s to represent the East Antrim voice. 30,000 Brit soldiers couldn’t control 1,000 provos. At present the Irish republic doesn’t have the manpower to control 30,000 militant unionists. Way forward.

Unemployment in Donegal last year peaked at 25% and 47% for under 25 yo. Vs NI (still part of the Union is at 4.7%). Yes NI has problems due to Brexit not a patch on the forgotten north.

They could lose the union but gain a country. How prophetic would this be as northern Ballymoney Protestants were the founders of Irish independence IRB

@TrisBurnedLands @Kilsally @KKPeopleNews Tristan, I am not a Unionist but I have always acknowledged that there are Unionists in every one of the 32 counties and that is not going to change. The Unionist community are an integral part of reunification, in whatever form it takes! 👍

@William14757819 @TrisBurnedLands @KKPeopleNews James good question and these are the same questions I ask as a unionist if a border poll were in favour of reunification. What would happen to my free HSC, would we lose devolution of stormont.

@TrisBurnedLands @KKPeopleNews If Ireland were to rejoin the union what sort of devolution would be in place. Would there be free ports. What about local taxation powers and the nhs how would it all work?
