I think it is a bit rich for Feile to dismiss some women’s opinions just because they don’t fit with their own narrative. This is the same festival who platforms “up the IRA” chants on a yearly basis, despite the pleas of victims. Any chance of some introspection?

Feile has cancelled the Woman’s Rights group because there are no Trans members on the panel. On that basis all “debates” on a UI should be cancelled if they do not have a Unionist on the panel. Pigs will fly, what Republican hypocrites.

Correct, it’s vital to disentangle illegal immigration which is a law & order issue, from the law aiding people who’ve made Northern Ireland home & who make a vital contribution here. I’m also now hearing from nationalists who are being persuaded by a positive case for the Union.

Michelle O’Neill saying that she’ll never accept the burning of effigies as normal. What she will accept is burning young women alive in clothes shops. She’ll even post of tribute to the killer on the anniversary of his death. Burning effigies is a step too far though.

We can never accept burning effigies of political representatives, flags or symbols as normal. In any other part of the world, this would be unfathomable and unacceptable. It should be no different here. This is hatred, rooted in ugly sectarianism and racism. Last night, effigies of political representatives, including myself, were placed on bonfires, surrounded by flags and emblems. Those responsible have nothing to offer except fear and division. But they will not succeed. I will not let hatred dictate our future. I will continue to build a future where all our children grow up free from hate.
