@allegiantfaith What possible purpose is there with a God? If God us omniscient then there can be no free will, everything is predetermined. You are a mindless, controlled robot.

Atheists tell me that atheism doesn't inevitably lead toward nihilism. But the one response regarding purpose without God I've seen the most in the comments has been that there is no purpose. We just live and die and should seize the day. That's nihilism. Why should we seize the day (an alleged purpose) if we're on a quick journey to nowhere on a floating rock in space, upon which we popped into existence as a random accident millions of years ago?

It's been reviewed by the most hardcore critics we have who have PHDs in multiple fields and they wont even comment on it. That's all the peer review I need, their silence tells me I got it in the bag

So historically speaking: He did not denounce Christianity. He did not reject creation. He did believe nature reflected divine order.

@SFT_Ministries @Bruce_Boomer @aigkenham He set out to show that man was different from the rest if the animal kingdom. He ended his life admitting he could not. What is that if not showing connected relatedness? If it was just similarity, he wouldn’t have cared. You are trying to twist things to match your beliefs.

He said, on being criticised for including man with animals: “name a generic difference between man and ape, based on the principles of natural history.” No one ever has. So here is a major misrepresentation problem right at the start.

The Bible says every person knows that the Creator is real by His Creation. If I have stopped believing that, it is because we have chosen not to retain God in our minds. He even gave the measure of faith misplaced in this. We will be judged by what we know, and I believe evolution is not going to be my excuse. To teach it is so much worse, especially to kids.
