Hard question to answer At Archer, I had to vertically integrate the entire eVTOL aircraft basically from scratch. There was nobody I could find who knew how to engineer this, so I had to learn it. That experience taught me an enormous amount Electric aircraft need: motors/gearboxes, batteries, embedded sw, firmware, structures, thermals, controls, sensors. It’s basically a 6,000lb flying robot Building hardware is a lot like building software, just with everything stretched out. Weekly sprints become annual design reviews, and every mistake carries far more downside I’ve always wished there were real courses on each subsystem of building a startup. The signal/noise is so low for things like this online - too much junk. Instead, I had to learn most of this over 20 years through trial and error. But there are proven playbooks Especially on the engineering side - so many start “initialized wrong”
