@SlappinDa @CateSask Close, but not quite in my situ. I hope many others did as I did: I saw Carney's platform & researched it. Then I researched my local MP. Then I chose whether my MP stood for what I wanted, + his competitors. Then I voted for the BEST MP who aligned w my values. Then Carney won.

Canada doesn’t elect Prime Ministers: we elect MPs who form government. That’s the system under Constitution Act, 1867.
Calling a majority government a ‘dictatorship’ doesn’t expose corruption, it exposes that you skipped the chapter on how your own country works. 🇨🇦

@CodyConlin2 @CateSask Maybe I'm privileged, but I have Internet and was able to research my local MP's to learn about their platforms before I voted for any of them. If you want to know what your local MP stands for, it’s on you to look it up. Their voting record, work, and statements are all online

@MarkDrapak @CateSask Then why do they only televise or report on what leaders want and debate? You don’t ever hear what your local MP wants. The only way for you to get a leader or political party you align with is to cast your vote for a local Conservative or liberal/ndp.
