Today I spoke of #DoctorWho in a school in Romania and in the audience was the granddaughter of Harriet Philpin, who played Bettan in Genesis of the Daleks (and who caught the R White’s secret lemonade drinker in the 70s ads!). Big resemblance, small & improbable world!

My friend Chris Fowler died yesterday. Once, around 1992, he took me on a London pub crawl and told me so many fascinating things about the city it would fill several books. I'm so sad he's gone, but he lived a full, amazing life, and that is something to celebrate.

Rereading this excellent collection by Mark Morris (@MarkMorris10). He really is a tremendous writer, working in the English tradition of the ghost and horror story.
