Three weeks ago, SCGOP loyalists pushed a rule requiring every candidate to have voted in two of the last three statewide primaries to appear on the ballot.
President Trump has endorsed a U.S. Senate candidate who does not meet that requirement. Despite this, state establishment figures are lining up to support her.
We are about to witness an epic flip-flop by the SCGOP rules committee or executive committee in record time, as they vote to grant an exception to the rule for Darline Nordone.
This inconsistency is on full display less than a month after they fought so hard to enact the new rule.
If this candidate were not connected to Senator Lindsey Graham, I highly doubt a waiver would be granted to an anti-establishment candidate.
Even the fake accounts have returned in full force to push the issue.
