@Asst_to_the_RM I’m deeply sorry for your loss. It’s tough in the best circumstances and worse when deployed. May her memory be a blessing.

For 13 years you have been the goodest of girls. All around the world you were a giant part of our family. You are missed, but never forgotten. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there to say goodbye in person girl.

I’ve seen some comments today about memorizing the oath, so here is my two cents: I’ve administered the oath, both to officers and enlisted, more times than I can count to more Soldiers than I can count. It’s been an absolute privilege. Do I have it memorized? Yes Am I also holding a printed copy that’s small enough to fit inside my hand that isn’t raised? Also yes. I have had more than one TBI. My brain doesn’t work as well as it used to. I was administering the oath a couple of years ago, and my brain just went blank. It’s one of the few moments when you can’t get it wrong, and I almost did. It’s ok to have it written down.

@girdley A guy submitted for a R&D job developing helicopter software and highlighted his experience as a flight attendant as the qualifier. It made it through the Gov AI queue to human review as a “top candidate.”

What's the craziest thing you've seen on a resume? I'll go first: A candidate listed their mom as a reference.

If the airport won’t let you land due to a NOTAM just declare an emergency. Welcome to my Ted Talk.

I simply could not imagine being in congress and staying silent as Trump builds a slush fund of $1.776 (cute right… 1776) billion dollar slush fund for insurrrectionists. What are these people even there for? History will be brutal to them. And their kids will be embarrassed

I'm surprised no one offered to add Top Gun to the list.

This is where my stress gets directed nowadays. There aren’t any more late night helicopter flights as an outlet to destress. Instead it’s lace up your running shoes during the heat of the day.

@EODHappyCaptain And don’t forget that they can now clamor for much needed millions of dollars in homeland security grants to mitigate future IED threats. New cars for everyone.

@RonnieAdkins Bro I got to attend one of their events recently. And holy fuck, 73000 scholarships of over 340million dollars and 91% of donations go to the scholarship program. I was really impressed with the gold star spouses that spoke on it and how much they absolutely love the program.

This piece of shit ….i actually had the honor of attending a folds of honor ceremony for quite a significantly large event, you can piss and moan about peoples politics, but guys like Adam here would rather see the families of veterans lose significant education opportunities just because they have a political disagreement with the founder.
Adam Kinzinger (Slava Ukraini) 🇺🇸🇺🇦@AdamKinzinger

If anyone gives to folds of honor, maybe find another charity. Their founder thinks the military swears an oath to the president.

@Snakeeater36 How much could have been done with the money that goes to leasing the CEO’s private aircraft?

Even this isn't correct. Enlisted people take an oath to Constitution - first - and also to obey the orders of the President and officers.
Dr. Bradley D. Wentworth@dickandtinasson

@RadioFreeTom Which oath are we speaking of ? Officers take an oath to the constitution. Enlisted take an oath to the President of the United States of America.

@RadioFreeTom Is this a good time to wonder how more Folds of Honor could accomplish if they didn’t lease a private jet for the CEO? Or that they don’t disburse 91% of donations as claimed on their website?

@TheThomasAllen @AdamKinzinger So much good that they can take enough of the donations to lease him a private jet and fly solely first class when he travels? Yes, they do some good. Imagine how much more they could do without such extravagant spending on themselves.
