The video isn’t only of her, it’s a group of lads plus Ellie as the only girl. Yet the discourse is only about her. Whether you agree with or like her or not, a section of the fanbase piling on her and none of the other people in the video, isn’t a good look. Who cares if we’ve over-celebrated? It’s our first European semi final in 42 years. We’re taking a lead into the second leg. We might not go through, so why not celebrate potentially our last European game for another 30 odd years? We celebrate first half goals don’t we? By this logic we should wait until the final whistle to celebrate. Just seems odd, and sort of proves her point.
