@timhopkins23 @SecretCityChez Absolutely agree. Even "the elect" are often emboldened by the anonymity that comes with social media. Admittedly, I am not immune. I have posted comments I regret. I am so blessed to come from a diverse family background, politically, religiously, and racially.

‘Priesthood of all believers’ sounds empowering until everyone becomes their own final authority. Then it’s not unity under the Gospel. It’s a thousand mini-pulpits, each rebuking the other with equal certainty and zero accountability.

@timhopkins23 @SecretCityChez I highly recommend googling "come, Follow Me", " The Chosen" an Easter special with Dallas Jenkins. This podcast is the essence of how a follower of Christ ought to treat someone of another faith.

The “priesthood of all believers” doesn’t mean everyone is their own final authority, it means every believer has direct access to God through Christ (1 Peter 2:9; Hebrews 4:16). The NT still clearly affirms: • Qualified leaders (elders/pastors — 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1) • Teaching and accountability (Hebrews 13:17) • Correction within the body (Galatians 6:1) So it’s not “a thousand mini-pulpits”—it’s a body with many members under one Head: Christ (Ephesians 4:11–15). The real question is: Is our final authority a human hierarchy… or the Word of God? Because even leaders are accountable to Scripture (Acts 17:11).

@_tfTGS @timhopkins23 @SecretCityChez Problem is, like the Pharisees and Sadducees of Christ's day, their authority as Elders (Catholic and Evangelic) came from college degrees. While they did much good ... That's not God's authority, that's mans.
