NEW: BermudAir is set to announce 3 new destinations: • Providence (PVD) • Richmond (RIC) (thanks to @fleursdiora) • Montreal (YUL) Each will be served from Bermuda (BDA). For RIC and PVD, this represents their only international flight.

Our 49th Airbus A220-300 arrived in Riga this morning.

NEW: Air Canada will add 2 new routes and 1 destination: • Toronto (YYZ) to Jacksonville (JAX) • Montreal (YUL) to Cincinnati (CVG) Both begin on May 22 with a daily CRJ-900. This represents JAX’s only international flight. Air Canada last flew to JAX in early 2019.

Boeing again. One person is dead and others are injured after a Singapore Airlines flight from London struck "severe turbulence" and was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok.

New potential Air Canada routes and destinations? United States: • Jackson Hole (JAC) or Bozeman (BZN)? • Louisville (SDF)? • San Antonio (SAT) • YVR to Philadelphia (PHL), Salt Lake City (SLC), Dallas (DFW) • YUL to Portland (PDX) Transatlantic: • Oslo (OSL), Berlin (BER), Porto (OPO), Marseille (MRS), Istanbul (IST), Tunis (TUN), Dakar (DSS), Accra (ACC), Lagos (LOS) Transpacific: • Manila (MNL), Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), resume Melbourne (MEL) I marked the new routes/destinations in the maps below. Unsure if that one dot on the YVR map is JAC or BZN. The maps come from Air Canada’s new presentation. The airline tells me it shows both current routes and “aspirational” ones for the future. Obviously no guarantees for any, but this might hint at what’s next.

NEW: United Airlines will launch a new route from San Francisco (SFO) to Montreal (YUL). SFO-YUL will operate seasonally starting July 1 using a daily Boeing 737 MAX 8: • UA2857 Depart SFO 11:00 PM Arrive YUL 7:25 AM (next day) • UA2858 Depart YUL 8:30 AM Arrive SFO 11:46 AM

NEW: Porter Airlines plans to launch two new U.S. routes: • Montreal (YUL) to Los Angeles (LAX) • Montreal (YUL) to San Francisco (SFO) Flights will operate using its Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. This comes as Porter’s partner Air Transat removed sales for both of these routes.
