In the high-pressure ecosystem of product development, particularly within the volatile landscape of Web3 and decentralized technology, founders often fall victim to the seductive allure of vanity metrics. From the perspective of a product manager, vanity metrics are best described as data points that look impressive on a slide deck but fail to correlate with the long-term health or sustainability of the business. These are numbers such as total registered accounts, cumulative app downloads, or the sheer volume of social media followers. While these figures may provide a temporary ego boost or satisfy superficial investor inquiries, they are essentially the "mirage" of the startup world. They offer no insight into whether the product is actually solving a user’s pain point or if the business model is capable of surviving the next market downturn. The danger of running a company based on vanity metrics lies in the misallocation of precious resources. When a founder mistakes a spike in sign ups for genuine growth, they are likely to initiate premature scaling. This might involve expanding the engineering team or increasing marketing spend to acquire more of the same low quality users. However, if the underlying product has not achieved true product market fit, the founder is simply pouring capital into a leaky bucket. As a product manager, my role is to identify the "North Star" metric the one specific measurement that proves the product is delivering value. If we ignore this in favor of vanity data, we lose the ability to pivot when necessary, often realizing the product is failing only after the runway has been exhausted. This is where the concept of validated learning becomes vital. Validated learning is the rigorous process of demonstrating, through empirical data, that a team has discovered truths about a product’s present and future business prospects. It is the difference between "we think our users like this feature " and "we have data showing that this feature increased weekly retention by fifteen percent." For a founder, validating learning before scaling is the only way to distinguish between a viral fluke and a sustainable trend. It requires a disciplined approach to experimentation, where every feature launched is treated as a hypothesis to be tested against real world user behavior. . @ultramarketsxyz is live on mainnet. We’re in private beta does not mean testnet. Everything you see is real money and trades being executed on Polymarket. The reason for private beta is because we want to really test out our risk models in a controlled production environment and it has helped us addressed a ton of lapses in our designs. Grateful for all the traders actively using the product and giving us feedback❤️

🚨JUST IN: Pep Guardiola reveals what Mikel Arteta did after Arsenal’s Carabao Cup defeat, calls it ‘incredible’ Pep Guardiola got the better of Mikel Arteta as Manchester City beat Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final. After losing 2-0 to Manchester City, Arsenal had to walk up the Wembley stairs first to collect their Carabao Cup runners-up medals. Once they came down, Pep Guardiola led his side up the stairs to collect their medals and, of course, the Carabao Cup. Manchester City celebrated winning the cup for the fifth time in the last 10 years on the balcony and then came down to do the same on the pitch. Mikel Arteta, his coaching staff, and the Arsenal players could’ve just gone back in as soon as they got their medals, but they stayed until City lifted the cup and came down. The Manchester City boss noticed that, and he hailed and thanked Arteta for the gesture. He told CBS Sports: “It’s against which team we won. This is the strongest one in Europe right now. Look at the Champions League and Premier League. To beat them in many aspects, it looks so difficult. “They have proven it for many years, especially this season. Of course, Carabao Cup, five in 10 years, we’re happy, but especially against them (Arsenal). “I have a huge respect. I want to say thank you because they waited, all the team, until we were down. That was an incredible gesture on the part of Mikel and their people.” Via [@afcnewsroom]

This is the type of Geo Restriction that limits African creators from making money and reaching a global audience. You are basically saying no matter what we create, we will always be limited to our local audience, thereby stifling growth. YouTube is still the best platform for real.

Moniepoint Inc has acquired Orda Africa @orda_africa - a business management platform built specifically for food service businesses. Last year, we launched Moniebook to help businesses manage payments, sales, and inventory in one place. Orda takes that further, into one of Nigeria's most active sectors. The food service industry is a significant part of how this economy moves — it creates jobs, drives spending, and serves people every single day. The businesses running it deserve tools that actually fit how they operate. Payments, credit, inventory, staff management, analytics. One platform. Backed by Moniepoint. A new order for food businesses. Read more at Moniepoint.com/orda #Moniepoint #PoweringDreams #OrdaxMoniebook
