The one great thing about the Iowa program players' approach to football is they are well familiar with being receptive to learning from great teachers. Iowa has officially hired former Hawkeye and longtime coach, Tom Moore as senior consultant to the head coach and offensive advisor, per release. “I have known Tom Moore for over a decade and am thrilled that he has agreed to join our program in an advisory role,” Kirk Ferentz said. “Coach Moore has had a long and very successful career in football. He was a player at Iowa, coached at the collegiate level and spent many years working alongside Hall of Fame coaches in the National Football League. I am grateful that a four-time Super Bowl champion will share his wisdom and perspectives with us - coaches and players.”

Takeaways from those reps, Iowa's OL is in about as good of shape as you could expect given they just lost a 2nd, 3rd & 5th round picks. 58 & 59 are known quantites, 71 & 64 as as well, both played significant snaps in '25 at a high level, lot of young guys w/flashes too
