Alright I’ll bite. It’s an extraction shooter where you can shoot other players. You are meant to have a threat of being shot at or they wouldn’t have included it in the game.
I’m glad you enjoy mindless running from room to room to loot things without the threat of losing any of it.
But that’s not what made Arc Raiders an incredible game.
It tapped into a mainstream audience with an immersive experience that felt threatening and adventurous.
Then they took that formula and did the dumbest thing they could have messed with it. Tried to cater to people who fundamentally don’t understand how extraction shooters work. And that that threat of death is the core component of it.
So now it’s a loot sim so that larpers like yourself can run from room to room holding hands to fake loot meaningless junk.
It’s boring. And serves no meaningful gameplay loop. And that’s why Arc Raiders is dying a slow death.

Haven’t logged in to Arc Raiders for more than 3 hours in over a month. The threat of PvP is gone. If you do PvP you get matched with cheaters even in solo now. Constantly shot through walls. It’s essentially a PvE community loot sim now. They’ve gutted what made it great tbh. Plus the new map is pretty meh.
