The decision to keep McCullum sums up everything that’s wrong with English cricket - matey, zero accountability, acceptance of low standards & tolerance of failure. What’s worse? It’s not remotely surprising. This bunch don’t deserve support. No wonder so many are checking out.

British values mean defending everyone’s right to practise their faith freely. In London, I’m proud Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims and others can celebrate in Trafalgar Square. Singling out Muslims isn’t ‘British values’ - it’s prejudice. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

Hey @NJ_Timothy, how did you feel about Rishi Sunak celebrating Diwali outside Number 10 when he was PM? Your leader was practising a non-Christian religion outside one of London’s biggest landmarks - did you complain then? Trafalgar Square is regularly used for Christian stuff – you know that right? You and your party clearly have Islamophobic tendencies. Thank God - any god you care to name - that you have no chance of leading our country any time soon. Britain deserves better. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

The far-right are again spreading misinformation about why PE teacher Samuel Everett got sacked and banned from teaching. Here's the panels' findings and his tweets. He admitted to it, btw.

Three major Chagos Islands updates you’ll want to know about: • US Senator Kennedy has introduce a Bill to obtain powers over any Chagos deals • New research shows how China plans to divide Indian Ocean after the handover • Mauritian government is close to collapse 🧵👇

Too many are too polite to say this. But mass ritual prayer in public places is an act of domination. The adhan - which declares there is no god but allah and Muhammad is his messenger - is, when called in a public place, a declaration of domination. Perform these rituals in mosques if you wish. But they are not welcome in our public places and shared institutions. And given their explicit repudiation of Christianity they certainly do not belong in our churches and cathedrals. I am not suggesting everybody at Trafalgar Square last night is an Islamist. But the domination of public places is straight from the Islamist playbook. Trafalgar Square belongs to all of us. It is a national memorial to our independence and our salvation. Last night was not like a televised football match or a St Patrick’s Day celebration. It was an act of domination and therefore division. It shouldn’t happen again.

Rubbish. Every day my feed is full of your nonsense Renewables are MORE EXPENSIVE than gas for electricity generation And electricity is only 20% of UK energy consumption The best ways to cut energy costs are 1. Abolish the carbon taxes 2. Cancel AR7 onwards 3. Cancel the RO 4. Restructure AR1-6 to lower costs 5. Rebuild N Sea production 6. Build more refineries 7. Build large nuclear as fast as possible using Korean tech and Korean regulation as a guide 8. Cut fuel duty 9. Cancel any grid upgrades and close any windfarms with negative NPV for consumers 10. Sign LT Fixed Price gas contracts with Norway, the US and Qatar (diversify supply)

@NJ_Timothy stop using Sikhs to weaponise your Islamophobia. Sikhs have a parade in most cities across the UK(once a year called the Nagar Kirtan), like this below- where religious prayers are carried out for miles across cities. Where was your outrage then??

The post by Nick Timothy is not odd at all. You would be very well advised to read & understand everything he says. Freedom of expression & speech does not mean that anything goes, that everyone has a blank cheque book & can do as they please. There are groups 'using' freedom of speech & tolerance to further their agenda, an agenda which is not compatible wuth the West & certainly not the UK. Just because of what N Timothy is justifiably stating does not make his point of viee Islamaphobic. We in the UK do not want to become an Islamic Caliphate. This is not Islamaphobia, this is a matter of protecting & securing our British sovereign nation & our way of life & prevent an invasive take over. No other Faiths present in the UK pose the challenges that the radical Islamists currently do, & certainly not such a wide range of menace both domestically & abroad. Encourage the Muslims in the UK to: 1) Integrate into the UK 2) Use their Mosques 3) Openly oppose all fanatical Islamist groups & their activities. If the Muslims want to do anything in public then they should publicly actively oppose all extremist Islamist groups & the terrorism that goes with that.

@rogermosey @TimesRadio BBC should b allowed 2 advertise 4 certain programs & time periods. Sport, like football, clearly should have advertising & not funded by license fee. Same between 19:00 & 23:00ish all programmes funded by ads & sponsorship. If Corrie can do it for ITV Y not Eastenders on BBC?

Well done, @TimesRadio. There’s a worrying amount of BBC Sport heritage that’s being lost, but I’m pleased that a commitment to covering these events on radio is continuing.

@owenjonesjourno This is one of the men that chased Hannah Spencer yesterday in Manchester. The man is Alex Jardine from Stoke on Trent, he's a drummer in the Stoke music scene. He's on suspension from the NHS for transphobic and homophobic comments. He's been kicked out from the music community

@DeborahMeaden Nuclear may take longer but it would secure our children's future. People push wind/solar but upstream supply chains rely heavily on mining, energy intensive processing, and chemical manufacturing. The clean label refers to the generation phase, not the full lifecycle.

Forget half measures. The UK should build 10–15 nuclear reactors, lead the world in reliable clean energy, and ditch net zero targets that are slowing us down. Realism > virtue signalling.
