@samlambert we're seeing really odd and frustrating performance issue with planetscale and cloudflare's hyperdrive against vitess. We think it's on the planetscale side (we can't reproduce on digital ocean), is there someone we can chat with to help resolve?

With Unikraft, Prisma Postgres reduced its PostgreSQL image from 280MB to 61MB. These smaller images run as unikernels on bare metal. That gives each database strong VM-level isolation, while allowing a single machine to host thousands of Prisma Postgres instances. Breakdown 👇

Ever wanted to extend Prisma ORM without forking the repo? With Prisma Next, you can. We’ve already used the extension system to build pgvector, JSON-with-schema with @arktypeio, and @paradedb BM25 indexes for FTS. Build an extension, submit it, and help shape Prisma Next 👇

You don't need Redis or Kafka for simple Pub/Sub! Postgres has LISTEN and NOTIFY for simple real-time messaging. I wrote a beginner-friendly blog with a @bunjavascript demo, plus when to use it and when to reach for a queue. Check it out👇 pris.ly/pub-sub

I was skeptical, but now I’m completely convinced. Fencing will become super popular due to this one very particular improvement to the sport. “Sword tip visualization” It’s going to debut at the summer olympics. Every single duel will look like a bloody lightsaber fight

uploading demos on youtube won’t be enough by 2026. everyone’s doing it if you want buyers to trust your product, you need to show you really get what they’re dealing with this @prisma video is a good example most companies do this: • build something on video (vibe coding) • post a launch video • share a customer story that’s all fine. but everyone does the same thing so it stops working prisma goes a step further: • they talk about real problems people really face • they’re honest about what’s hard • they explain how they did things (not just results) • they ask bigger questions (like "should we trust ai?") that’s what builds trust but here’s the problem: the people who make decisions don’t have time to watch long videos so we turned this into a short: • one idea that matters • short enough to get attention • makes you want to watch the full video this is what works better: not just making good content but making it easy to find and easy to trust love the prisma youtube channel @sneub and @sorenbs! would love to help scale it with video content

Prisma spoils you. You forget SQL exists. Then your ORM does something weird at 2am and you're reading raw query logs like an archaeologist.

I deeply apologize for our first outage ever as a database company. We are here and we are open and we are listening to your feedback and criticisms. Which we might act on. We will likely do better.
