@EricBalchunas He's been so good. The suspension might have even been a benefit, as he just seems to have a level of energy and aggression on defense I didn't expect heading into playoffs.

I was wrong about Paul George. I'll own it. I thought he'd disappear more in these type games (I saw it a lot when he was Pacer vs Bron). Even if we lose Game 7 he has been solid, playing hard D, rebounding, and his shot selection is good, acknowledges his role as 3rd or 4th option. Def upgrade over Tobias.
Josh Reynolds@JoshReynolds24

Let’s talk about Paul George for a second… There were people on this app that genuinely tried to convince us that he wasn’t an upgrade over Tobias. They truly thought that. Playoff P has been absolutely PHENOMENAL on both sides of the ball this series

@MattBelloni To be fair, previous Star Wars movies aren’t a great comp. Yes, it’s in the same “universe” (so to speak), but it isn’t a Skywalker-oriented story. It’s more expansion of the Star Wars dialogue, than it is an addition to the main story. Closest comps are Solo or Rogue One.

Mandalorian and Grogu is tracking for an $80M debut over the 4-day Memorial Day weekend. Compared to previous Star Wars movies, that'd be a disaster. For a theatrical movie based on a TV show, that's not bad at all.

Oh yeah, that time again, Box Office BIGSHOTS! Can you correctly pick the TOP 10 WORLDWIDE highest-grossing Hollywood films of the summer? If so, you'll be 2026’s B.O.B.—Box Office Bigshot. Fame. Fortune. Influence. Illusions of Grandeur. Will all be yours. To qualify, picks must be posted by Thursday, April 30th, 2026 @ 11:59pm PT. THE RULES: 5 points for every correct film in the domestic Top 10, regardless of placement. Then, an additional 10 points for #1, 9 points for #2, 8 points for #3…1 point for #10, etc. if you correctly guess the exact placement of any of the Top 10 highest-grossing films. MORE RULES: Totals are from films released domestically from the 1st weekend of May through Labor Day weekend. Grosses don't stop on Labor Day, though, as films keep tabulating until they leave theaters. So, winner will likely be announced in the fall. EVEN MORE RULES: Drop your Top 10 picks on the timeline before midnight on and be sure to include a tie-breaker, which is the dollar amount the #1 film will wind up with globally. You don’t need dollar amounts on the rest of the films, only your #1 pick. So list your picks like this: 1. RODNEY'S RAD ADVENTURE II: MONKEY BIZ ($1.526B) 2. UNTITLED SEQUEL 3. UNTITLED THREEQUEL And so on… Will there be a prize? I mean, maybe. Probably. But isn’t being the BOX OFFICE BIGSHOT enough? Trust me, it is. All your dreams will be fulfilled.

Turns out a book tour is a lot like running for president except less time in Iowa. But the #1 rule is: meals are random/infrequent — eat whenever you can and chug vitamin C! Tonight’s dinner is a 10pm tuna salad sandwich + turmeric from the Philly train station. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Great take, as always. Unbelievably bad positions by NYC mayor.
Sara Eisen@SaraEisen

As I said a week ago, risky strategy @NYCMayor In an internal email to Citadel NY employees, COO Gerald A. Beeson, says they may not move forward with the new Park Ave construction project now. “It is shameful that he [Mamdani] used Ken’s name as the example of those who supposedly aren’t carrying their fair share of the burdens associated with New York City’s often costly and wasteful spending. In doing so, the Mayor has once again manifested the ignorance and disdain of the elite political class towards those who have been consistently committed to building one of the greatest cities in the world.” “We are about to commence the redevelopment of 350 Park Avenue, creating 6,000 highly paid construction jobs and supporting the creation of more than 15,000 permanent jobs in mid-town New York. The project – if we move forward – will entail more than $6 billion dollars of spending.”

What’s funny about all this gerrymandering talk is that we’re fighting over which party controls a legislative branch that doesn’t actually legislate anymore.

I asked Senator Warren why she campaigned with Maine Senate Candidate Graham Platner and called him “my kinda man!”… when he had a chest tattoo of a Nazi symbol, allegedly said people concerned about rape should “take some responsibility for themselves and not get so f—-ked up they wind up having sex with someone they don’t mean to?” And also reportedly wrote “I dig it” next to a video online of Hamas terrorists murdering several Israeli soldiers cnbc.com/video/2026/04/…

WBD needs to be acquired or split. If split, studio gets acquired anyway & networks still need a lifeline. Netflix isn't trying to save theaters & doesn't want networks. There will be job cuts (NFLX would've too). 30 films/yr? Probably not (nobody does). Will they kill HBO? No.
The Hollywood Reporter@THR

There's a sizable coalition lining up to stop David Ellison's $111 billion effort to buy Warner Bros. Would Ted Sarandos' team at Netflix have faced less resistance? hollywoodreporter.com/business/busin…

Crazy how fast this caught fire. Will leave judgement to others, but question is who will emerge as the new lead NFL reporter for The Athletic? Could they recruit someone in? Jeremy Fowler? Tom Pelissero? Judy Battista?

@WordOnTheBirds Exactly. And Hurts has been in two SB’s, with one title and an MVP. He’s not elite, but the Eagles have had some great success with him as their QB.

Adam Schefter on Jalen Hurts: “What I find interesting, and it's just some food for thought here, when we think about it as we go along, we've spent an awful lot of time talking about Jalen Hurts, right? And that's fair, I got it. Big deal, polarizing figure to an extent, but Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert did their contract two weeks after Jalen Hurts. Why isn't anybody asking why they're not extending yet?”
