Having run a business for 30 years though and appointed many people if they go against what they said they would do in their interview then that is a case for instant dismissal under the terms of their contract or is football different

There is more to it than that. A manager may have a certain style he prefers to play but can also show they can manage other ways as well. It depends upon the players skill sets, coaching, and the managers who will tell you they will play that style and then deviate. Should I sack them if they don’t?

I wonder if Nagle sacking every manager within several months of their reign might have something to do with our inability to attract decent managers. Oh well, he’s class off the pitch #htafc

@jimtheneighbour @pjcboro There are specific rules covering this. The bloke was recording Middlesbrough not taking pictures. Southampton would clearly benefit from seeing how Borough were preparing. The EFL have already kicked a team out of a competition this year so there already is a precedent.

For Hull to be handed promotion is the wrong answer and unlikely to be the outcome. If Southampton are expelled for breaking EFL regulation 127 then Middlesbrough would advance to the final. This is likely to be delayed and Old Trafford is a backup plan since Wembley has a full schedule. If Southampton are not expelled the sporting sanction isn’t appropriate since points are irrelevant in a knockout completion. The EFL might fudge it with a huge fine (considering the £200m Premier League bonus) with some proceeds going to Middlesbrough. There is also the consideration of if Southampton coaching team will be banned or individually sanctioned. Tough call for the EFL but the integrity of their competition is at stake. #utb #saints #efl

@FootyAccums Money and greed are going to kill football. They tried it with the top six European league and were only defeated by the fans reaction. Now is the time for the fans to act again and everyone boycott the finals.

All 3 European finals are to remain behind a paywall! It will be the 1st time since the competition's modern rebrand 34 years ago that the Champions League final will not be available to watch for free in the UK. In recent years the finals have been available to stream for free however TNT Sports are not offering that this time around. (@MattHughesMedia) Shameful decision given English clubs are in all 3 finals.

We can obviously talk about the mistakes that have been made since Nagle has been chairman. But decisions like selling O’Brien and Toffolo for a 10 million package and bringing in Schofield were absolutely mental decisions that set the club back years #htafc
