There is absolutely zero chance I’ll be watching some “Super Bowl” style half-time circus at the FIFA World Cup. I love the NFL, and I enjoy the Super Bowl show because it belongs there. It’s part of the culture, part of the tradition, part of the event. Football doesn’t need it, Football is the show! The match is the spectacle. The atmosphere, the tension, the fans in the stands, that’s what makes a World Cup special. Not pyrotechnics and a fucking concert wedged in at half-time. Nobody asked for it, nobody needs it, and nobody who actually loves football wants it. Keep that manufactured bollocks away from our sport.

Call me an old bastard but I just don't think outlets you have to pay for, like Sky Sports and BBC, should be doing lowest common denominator rage bait as part of their coverage.

I’m 46. I’ve seen us reach the same number of European cup semis in the past 2yrs as I did the previous 44yrs. I couldn’t give less of a crap about how we achieved that. ENJOY it. CELEBRATE it. If you’re sat here bitching about the performance this isn’t the sport for you.

@_PhilCosta Tbf, Havertz dived and handballed, and the Sporting player dived soon after. I didn't see anything wrong with those two decisions. The free kick at our corner was a mystery, though.
