@bluertwo Yep, I was there as a Houston Chronicle reporter. Camped out in the neighbor’s backyard for 2 days to cover the story. This was before cell phones and lap tops - gracious neighbors let reporters file stories from their landlines. It was exhilarating when they finally rescued her.

Does anybody remember the story in the 80s about a baby named “ Jessica “ who fell down a well? I think it was 1987 in west Texas if I’m not mistaken 😙
