1. Totally agree with the overall principle. 2. Why do so many people talk as if public transport, and buses in particular, don't exist? I gather OP's in London, perhaps S London - all 3 main London-ish airports have public transport options all through the night.

@hijinkery_ Ok but the purpose of World Book Day is to get kids reading & engaged in books. If there are kids watching Frozen films but not reading books, then surely World Book Day is an opportunity to move them onto Frozen/princess books? Judging kids’ costumes seems unnecessary

@MaryPink679 I don't think that's happening as much as you think, though. Years ago, kids would only dress as book characters. Now, there's so many Disney and Marvel characters. When I worked at a primary school it was mostly that, and they didn't read the books written for the films.

He should’ve packed the bag himself, or at least double checked where everything was before he left home! That is what responsible parents do.

I hate to apologize One day I argued with my wife because she forgot to put the children’s diapers in their bag when I took them to the park. The diaper was soiled and I needed to change it. I checked the bag and didn’t find any. She must have forgotten. Out of anger, I called her and said, “You didn’t put pampers in the bag, now there’s nothing to change him with.” I spoke angrily and she apologized, saying she thought she had packed them. While she was speaking, I rudely hung up on her (something I wouldn’t accept if she did it to me). After I dropped the phone, I checked the other side of the bag and saw five pampers. Man. 😭😭😭😭 I felt like a fool. I had to call her back and apologize. I called and said, “I’m sorry, I just saw the pampers 😁.” She replied, “You see now? and were shouting. I’ve always told you to be calming down, your blood too dey hot.” naso I change am for her again o. “Just because I apologized doesn’t mean you can talk to me anyhow ooo.” And we both laughed it off. 😂🤌 Moral: No matter how big your ego is, when you’re wrong, drop it and apologize.
