@SpireJim But also,
We're facing a crisis in Education where the best minds are exiting. They teach for a year or two, or slightly more and then exit for greener pastures in other Fields. This is a national crisis.

@SpireJim They're very few, especially from low income backgrounds, and especially in the Arts. The Scientists don't, save for a few whose families may not manage to sponsor them privately.

Is the “nice girl” or “nice guy” act actually helping you lead, or is it quietly getting in your way?
Many people step into leadership wanting to be approachable and liked, so they hesitate to put others on the spot, soften feedback to avoid discomfort, and delay hard conversations because they do not want to appear harsh. Over time it often creates blurred standards and unspoken expectations.
The difficulty is that results are personal. When you sit in a performance review, your ability to keep everyone comfortable is rarely what determines your progression. What matters is delivery, measurable outcomes and the impact you were responsible for driving.
Leadership is not limited to guiding those who are easy to manage. It involves setting standards, addressing underperformance and navigating difficult personalities without compromising expectations. As responsibility increases, the pressure to deliver grows alongside it.
You can care about people and still hold them accountable.

Where the vision is clear enough, direction, prioritization and accountability become much more possible.

When you sit in front of an investor, clarity is everything.
State the problem clearly. Explain your solution simply. Be direct about what you are asking for and what the return looks like. Do not assume they will “figure it out.” Do not hide behind big words. Say it plainly and with confidence.
And it is not just investors who should understand your business. Your network should too. If you are not in the room, the people who know you should be able to explain what you do and what you are building toward without hesitation. If they cannot, your message is not yet clear enough.
Be specific about your ask.

I can’t believe I had been blinded by NUP hooligans into criticizing the NRM government, the best government we have ever had. President Museveni is truly God-sent and the greatest leader the world has ever seen.
Beginning with, the 5-year term for our good MPs is clearly too small for them to complete their national duties. I fully support the proposal to extend it to 7 years, and if possible, 10 years would be better for stability.
About the UGX 100 million for MPs, that is real appreciation. In fact, those complaining about healthcare should understand that our MPs are more important than hospitals. As long as they are well facilitated, the country is safe.
In the same spirit, I request the government and H.E @KagutaMuseveni to go further and buy helicopters for our MPs especially those from far areas like Rwenzori, Kigezi, West Nile, Karamoja, Elgon, and the North. They deserve comfort as they serve us.
And as Ugandans, we must also play our part. I propose that the government should increase taxes by at least 50% to ensure all these necessities are well funded. After all, Ugandans are very rich — we just waste money on alcohol, sex and other unnecessary pleasures.
Today, I proudly join the @NRMOnline camp so that we can move forward together and forever.

As Gen. Museveni gives a handshake of 100M to the NRM MPs in Kyankwazi, be reminded that they’re 359 MPs.
359x100,000,000=35,900,000,000 (thirty five billion, nine hundred million Ugandan shillings.)
TAXPAYERS’ MONEY!
How many health centers can be put up by that amount?🤔

“The challenge of any young person is intolerance, ..being so right that you think no other opinion matters.” — Mr. Alionzi Lawrence (@LAlionzi), Mayor Elect #AruaCity, cautioned young people against the trap of intolerance, noting that energy and urgency can sometimes lead to dismissing other perspectives. He encouraged youth to embrace patience and learn from those who have walked the journey before them. #Leadership is strengthened when different viewpoints are understood and respected.

About two week’s ago when I went for a radio show at @nextradio_ug , I shared a waiting room with Yusuf Nsibambi and Hon. Lutamaguzi. The former kept bringing up stories and I made it clear to him that I wasn’t interested as I made myself busy on my phone and pretended not to hear until he kept quiet and then I personally initiated a conversation with the later, sympathizing with him on how he was cheated during elections.
Anyway, I had come to advise our beloved party NRM on how to beat NUP hands down. So, since NUP depends and survives on political prisoners for funding, why don’t we release all of them and see where NUP will get the funding from?
My mighty NRM party, let’s suffocate that group of terrorists and release all the political prisoners at once, I’m sure the small party won’t last a week.
Yours,
Gideon Nova Kwikiriza

At @Makerere yesterday, celebrating the legacy of Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, a giant who began his journey of service while still young. My message to the next generation was simple. There is no right time. Waiting for perfect conditions is how opportunities to serve pass us by. The time to serve is now.

Mr. Henry Kasacca raised concern about the growing decline in public trust in #Leadership, noting that it is closely tied to a shift in purpose. When leadership becomes centered on personal gain rather than service, it loses its ability to inspire and mobilize people. He emphasized that leadership must return to its core role of transforming lives and addressing societal challenges. For young leaders, this is a call to reflect deeply on why they seek leadership in the first place and to ensure their motivations align with service and impact.
“Why are people giving up on leadership? Why is the trust going down? Is because the purpose of leadership is shifting.”

Hon. Robert Maseruka, MP Elect, Mukono South, reminded young people that many of the continent’s most celebrated leaders, including Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, began their journeys while still young. He urged youth leaders to abandon the idea that there is a “right time” to begin, emphasizing that waiting for ideal conditions often leads to missed opportunities to serve.
