Mortgage rates topped 6% this week, up from 2.86% a year ago. The jump in mortgage rates is one of the most pronounced effects of the Feds campaign to curb inflation by lifting the cost of borrowing. Are you considering renting or renovating your home due to current conditions?

We recognize this selloff may have further to go in the short term, but it’s worth noting that the average S&P gain over the next 12 months after a 10-15% selloff has been 22% historically, with gains in 12 of 13 periods back to 1980. As of Friday, the current selloff was 14%.
