I’m at the HLRS SAS25 uncertainty conference talking about domain specificity in machine learning driven science tomorrow. HLRS is a wonderful community.

This is an immensely important paper. The key intuition here is that the sample size needed to achieve a certain power of an effect size is non-linear. Only when estimate is exactly the true effect will it replicate enough.

I love the way this book vaguely feels like it was written for grade school students at the same time that it’s a universal reference point for the most intelligent people I know
