@AlanJacob192906 @Krypt0_Ape @BoeingAirplanes Great American Company? Their engines (even the backup engine) shut down out of nowhere. It's untrustworthy. European Tech is superior. If such incidents happened with Chinese COMAC, they'll be banned forever. And guess what COMAC is mostly banned by US FAA and Europe’s EASA.

#HTPremium | Across languages and centuries, the word “mogul” has come to signify opulence, power and a commanding presence. Media mogul, we say; or industry mogul, for a kind of force that shapes the world. It’s one of the littlest ways in which the Mughal dynasty lives on. The word has its roots in the sheer opulence of their rule in India, which lasted from 1526 to 1857. The Mughals were among history’s most passionate patrons of the arts, commissioning jewellery, manuscripts, paintings, architecture and decorative objects of breathtaking ambition. Some of the most treasured pieces in museum collections around the world trace their origins to this dynasty. It is an indication of just how exceptional they were in this regard that, when emerald-lensed spectacles turned up at the auction house Sotheby’s in 2021, the consensus was it had to be Mughal. No one else would have had the means or audacity to take emeralds that large and cut (not polish) them until they were the right size for an auspicious talisman. Retroflex sounds made by curling the tongue back to the palate are a defining feature of Indian languages, and almost nowhere else in the world are they this abundant. They can be perceived phonoaesthetically as being ‘coarse’ or ‘rough’ compared to more smooth sounds like sh or f. This map shows the distribution of ट, ड, ण, ळ, and ழ (the Tamil/Malayalam zh) based on linguist Peggy Mohan's research. Her argument: these sounds likely trace back to the 'First Indians’, the AASI ancestry that predates every later migration. So most modern day Indian languages did not bring their retroflexes, they found them here in India itself.

It’s time to redefine "Rarest of Rare." The sexual assault of a child is a supreme violation of human rights that leaves a permanent scar on society. Convicts should be given death penalty on every such occassion to ensure the strongest possible deterrent. #Nasrapur
