Called the Bitcoin top at 126K, shorted ZEC at the exact top (literally the top), called OIH, XLE & NTR, all in profit.
Not to brag, but I don’t have a single losing trade in the history of my X account. Not one.
What’s the secret? I don’t overtrade. When there’s no money to be made, I don’t force it. Simple as that.
And I never use leverage. NEVER. I spend hours on analysis, and when the perfect setup presents itself, I buy or sell spot with millions of dollars.
Anyway, I’ve analysed hundreds of stocks and I might’ve found something great.
Turn on notifications and pay attention. That’s all I’m asking.

Rosebank’s Hyatt Hotel just pulled a disappearing act😱
The hotel has been closed and mothballed since Covid-19, and now overnight, she has got new signage all over her with a new name: Royal Majestic Hotel.
Rumour has it that the Hyatt Regency hotel still has 10 years left on its management deal. Did the hotel’s UAE-based owners just breach contract with the brand, or is there a backroom deal in the making…
Will somebody please spill the tea!?

@GamewithDave First handheld I ever owned, I can still remember the Perspex display case they showcased it in at Makro (our local, acquired by Walmart). Still have it! (Somewhere 😦)

Enabling useful teleoperation for complex dexterous robotic arm tasks in decent working spaces proved challenging with the open source SO100 design ($100 arms). Reach, degrees of freedom, and strength were insufficient. The next price point ($1000) felt unnecessary. We’ve been customizing low-cost arms ($300) for useful dexterous manipulation. Despite some challenges the teleop results are now really promising. Maybe $200-300 is the sweet spot. Curious about others’ experiences.

The Winelands is getting its first-ever, fully serviced ApartHotel with 41 apartments and 62 aparthotel units (and its pet-friendly)🐶🍃🍷
What exactly is an ApartHotel? Simply put, it’s a hybrid of an apartment with the perks and services of a hotel. You get a proper apartment setup—kitchen, living room, bedroom— but with cool hotel extras like daily cleaning, a concierge to sort you out, and amenities such as a pool or gym.
Quick facts about the new ApartHotel:
🌿 Completion date: 2026
🌿 Developer: SquareTurn
🌿 Development name: Klei
🌿 Hotel operator: Totalstay
🌿 Location: near Stellenbosch
🌿 One-bedroom units are priced at R3 350 000, and the monthly levies are R2 672
🌿 Two-bedroom units are priced at R4 350 000, and the monthly levies are R4 117
🌿 Amenities: sky bar, rooftop splash pool, communal braai area, entertainment area, wellness spa, 24/7 concierge, co-working space, pets allowed with prior arrangement, clay cellar with a selection of local wines.
With so much development happening in and around the Winelands region, it was only a matter of time before some bold developer decided to put up a project of this size. I can completely see the demand for something like this in years to come.
Each ApartHotel unit will have air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, smart TV’s with Netflix (because binge-watching in a vineyard setting just hits different), fridge, microwave, stove, and its own private balcony or patio.
It’s great to see that an established company like Totalstay will be managing your investment. The company was founded in 2014, and to date, they manage over 700 hotel rooms throughout 15 buildings in South Africa. Totalstay charges 12%, excluding VAT, of Gross Top Line Revenue to manage your unit.
Situated in the up-and-coming Devonbosch precinct (also being developed by SquareTurn) - this hotel will offer its guests access to mountain biking trails, running trails, e-foiling, extreme golf, multiple dams for water activities, gym, soccer academy and an art gallery. The total land size of this precinct is over 280 hectares, and other developments here include residential apartments, office space and retail space.
I have also heard word about future phases for this growing precinct that sound promising. They want to include medical facilities, convenience retail, tertiary education institutions, more sporting facilities and a 24-hour village pharmacy.
The well-known School of Rock will also be coming there soon. They offer patented programs combined with 1-on-1 lessons and group band practices that make this music school the ultimate music school for kids and adults. There are currently over 380 School of Rock campuses around the world.
Those who buy within this ApartHotel are offered a rental guarantee of 8% for the first three years from the date of transfer. Unit owners will also receive 14 days for personal use at the Klei Aparthotel annually.
According to their website, this ApartHotel provides an “earth-inspired luxury experience.” For those keen to grab a glass of something local and relax for the weekend, this hotel could be the answer to your next spontaneous getaway or your next exciting real estate investment.

The Cape Winelands, long celebrated for its rolling vineyards, majestic mountains and world-class wines, is experiencing a renaissance of a different kind. Beyond the charm of its historic wine farms and towns, the region is buzzing with energy as new estates and commercial developments spring up, blending luxury living with the area’s natural beauty.🍇🏠
In its latest report, New World Wealth stated that the Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch areas are now home to 3 200 South African dollar millionaires. This makes these areas the fourth-largest concentration of ultra-wealthy individuals in the country.
The area from Stellenbosch to Paarl is evolving into a hotspot for innovative and bespoke residential and mixed-use projects, attracting everyone from dollar millionaires to young professionals, growing families and retirees seeking a slice of this idyllic lifestyle.
It’s time to talk about some of these exciting additions to the Winelands landscape.
The Klei ApartHotel at the Devonbosch precinct stands out as a fresh and bold offering. It signals a shift toward sophisticated, community-focused living in the heart of the Winelands. This will be the first purpose-built aparthotel in the area.
There are 41 apartments and 62 aparthotel units for sale directly from the developer. One-bedroom units cost R3 350 000, and monthly levies are R2 672. Two-bedroom units cost R4 350 000, and monthly levies are R4 117.
Devonbosch has a land area of over 280 hectares. Phase one includes 80ha of approved mixed-use space and 650 000m2 of bulk.
The mixed-use precinct offers residential apartments and penthouses for sale, office space, retail space and now the Winelands’ first aparthotel. It also offers a bouquet of physical and cultural activities, such as mountain biking and running trails, extreme golf, e-foiling, water activities on multiple dams, a soccer academy, gym, music academy and an art gallery. Plans are also in the pipeline to open schools and a university.
The feature at Devonbosch that I find most intriguing is one I have not seen in the Winelands, especially not of this size — a “super-basement concept”. It will be an underground parking and logistics network that removes vehicles from the surface level, all in the name of creating a pedestrian-first precinct. We shall have to wait to see if this makes a dent in the Winelands’ traffic problems.
The Winelands continues to experience a wave of growth in all aspects of the region: wine routes, golf estates, polo fields and the coming-soon Cape Winelands Airport. Nicholas Ferguson, a director from Cape Winelands Airport, mentioned that they expect the airport to be open and operational by the end of 2027 or early 2028.
I used to think of the Winelands as my weekend escape — somewhere to sip wine and stare at the scenery. But now, the number of people moving there and the number of square meters in the pipeline for development are mind-blowing.
In the past 10 years, developers have reimagined this region, introducing estates and precincts that cater to needs without sacrificing the area’s soul. It seems as if development in these areas is on steroids. When it comes to retail, you just need to look at how many shopping malls and community centres are being developed in Paarl.
