It took only 2 months for everyone to stop playing Marathon Why did people lie about this game being good?

@ApollosMission At this point taking a trip down memory lane and playing Garry's Mod, Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike: Source. S@Box flopped cyberpunk 2077 style and brought a vast amount of players back to Garry's Mod still a win I guess.

Call of Duty is dead. Arc Raiders is dead. Fortnite is dead. Battlefield is dead. GTA is still not out. What is anyone even playing anymore these days?

It’s possible a PVE mode may soon become available in ARC Raiders… 👀 In a recent ARC Raiders survey, Embark mentioned “New matchmaking options / adjustments” as an option for players to vote for.

@GrandmasBallz @ArcRaidersInfo If half of a playerbase divided from a pve mode. It speaks a lot of volume about the pvp mode. But there's also just people who average a few hours a week to game. So a majority of others have an advantage from all the extra hours. 9 to 5 gear heads are what kids call em.

@ExoGhost Issue is this only shows steam players. Also if the profile isn't private. It does not accommodate for consoles. They just need to defy the streamers and anti grass touchers and add pve. 100% guarantee player base skyrockets. Some of us have adulting. Don't have time to nerd out

@GrandmasBallz @ArcRaidersInfo Them adding a pve mode doesn't mean pvpve will go away. It just means pvp lobbies will be more action packed without us "carebears" So in reality there should be no reason pvpers should be upset. After all it was big complaint about casuals in the lobby.

@ArcRaidersInfo When this happens, it will fraction the players off and people in pve mode will get bored easy. No risk involved. My playstyle is pve but I enjoy not knowing if you will get into a fire fight or not

Here is what they said in full - “In our studio business, earnings from Bungie's title portfolio did not reach our expectations, so we downwardly revised our business plan and impaired the full amount of the fixed assets related to Bungie except for goodwill. Player reception to Marathon is strong, with the game receiving a Metacritic score of 82 and more than 90% of the player reviews on Steam being positive. Engagement metrics such as retention also remain at a high level. Going forward, we aim to improve the performance of the game by working to retain highly engaged core users through the introduction of additional content, further improvements in the gameplay experience and expansion of the user base.”

@RGamle62478 @ArcRaidersInfo They are never gonna fully remove pvp though. Pvp and pve lobbies will still be populated and matches will be found. Heck even Tarkov added a completely separate pve mode and finding pvp lobbies is still a breeze.

@ArcRaidersInfo If that's the direction the devs want to go, then fair enough. I really love the current PvE/PvP mix, but if they remove PvP, I'll just call it quits and head back to Escape from Tarkov

@MarathonGG_ I am willing to wager them adding a PVE mode will probably bring the game twice the players of Arc Raiders. Then the pvp simps can remain in Arc. Which ever game adds it first though is a big brain company. Gotta stop listening to these streamers look what happened to COD

@TheTacticalBrit Remove aim assist which should of been done years ago. If you use it your not good. I mean Aim "ASSIST" so ya getting support is not skill. Also Cronus Zen works only because of aim assist. Which is why every big streamer uses a controller these days.

Battlefield 6 REDSEC Ranked looks fantastic. Lots of notes in the blog about dev interventions to improve systems as they flesh out the mode. Console players also protected.
