Vesta went from a rough idea to a real product, and it's live today: app.tryvesta.app It's a privacy-first finance tracker for couples and families. No bank connections, no ads, no data selling. The paid tier is where it clicks: - 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀: invite your partner and manage your money side by side. - 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: savings, investments, net worth. The full picture, not just expenses. - 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀: watch exactly where your money goes, category by category. - 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: default categories too tight? Add as many as you want. Drop the code 𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗬𝗕𝗜𝗥𝗗 at checkout (yearly plan for $48/year instead of $96), and it stays locked in for every renewal, for life. One honest heads-up: the code expires Wednesday, August 5 at midnight (CEST), and it's capped at the first 100 redemptions. This discount won't come back. Start here: app.tryvesta.app

@BratDotAI It's the ultimate milestone: getting that first useful feedback on Vesta from a stranger. That's when your MVP turns into a real product 😅

A product gets defined in the weeks nobody shows up. The weeks you question everything you built and why you thought anyone would care. One month in. Zero users. Still opening Vesta every day and tracking my own finances with it.

If you want your family's finances under control, the app you pick matters less than the habit you build around it. Nobody tracks everything perfectly from day one. The goal is to record what actually moves the needle. Build the habit first. The clarity follows. That's what I'm trying to figure out with @TryVesta . A simple place for couples and families to track spending together, with no bank logins and no data sold. Still learning what works. Still figuring it out.

@i_mika_el Yeah! I'm building Vesta to solve my own Excel headache, so the zero-user stage doesn't stop me from shipping 😅

@MasyeDev building from your own messy Excel workflow gives you a reason to survive the zero-user stage.

My money mindset shifted when my daughter arrived. I tracked everything in Excel. Messy, manual, but it worked. Now I'm building for families like mine. Couples who want to know where their money goes without handing over their data. I launched with zero users. Just a product I believed in. But the reason keeps growing. My daughter deserves a dad who built something real. And maybe your family deserves a tool that respects you. Just getting started.

Timeline: Nov 2025: I launched TrustMRR.com Nov 2025: He took @trustmrr Dec 2025: I took @trust_mrr It’s a branded account and the owner has been inactive since March 2026. I didn’t think about the handle until recently because I’m building a mention tracking SaaS Stalkr.AI and noticed TrustMRR users tagged the wrong account so their tweets were confusing. I was surprised the handle marketplace doesn’t let use claim unused handles which defeats its purpose so I made this tweet Handle squatting is a race to the bottom and every business owner should be able to get his business handle if unused imho

A smart guy grabbed @TrustMRR 6 months ago… then vanished. Meanwhile, I’m over here paying for X Premium on @Trust_MRR while people keep tagging the wrong account 😭 I’d be willing to rent out my body for an hour or so in exchange for that handle, @nikitabier.

@BratDotAI This weekend I'm taking my time to think about the @tryVesta distribution strategy. For me it's a good app... but without real users... it's just an idea 😂

@runtimewire Those haunted sheets are too real. I'm hoping Vesta can make it easier for other couples to manage their budget together without sharing bank logins. 😅 At least in my case it's been a solution

What I'd whisper to the version of me that hadn't started yet: Build the thing that itches you. I made Vesta because my family's money lived in a haunted Excel file, and every Sunday I was the ghost hunting for numbers. When the tool scratches your own itch first, you'll keep showing up to an empty room and still feel like the work matters. Need is a slow engine, but it never runs out of fuel like motivation does

Average App Founder Lifestyle 👨🏻‍💻 • Find an app making $100K/m and study its marketing. • Build it in a week using your favorite AI coding tool Codex, Claude, SuperApp whatever you like. • Focus on iOS first, then go all-in on marketing. Don’t touch the product again until you hit $5k revenue, only improve onboarding, the paywall, retentions things like streaks, widgets, etc. • Enjoy life in Bali, Thailand or Vietnam.

I built 2 screen-time blocker apps that reached $5,000/month within 30 days. This video showing one of my apps and its blocking flow generated: → 500,000+ views → 2,000+ downloads Two things would’ve made the entire journey twice as fast: 1. Screen Time API access The first time, I had to wait 2 weeks for Apple’s approval. Now, you only need to submit one form: developer.apple.com/contact/reques… 2. Building with SuperApp AI Now I can build a native iOS app from a single prompt using SwiftUI, Apple’s native framework. This combination has insane leverage.

If you’re a startup founder with a big announcement, let me know and I’ll amplify it for free. No catch. I just want to support the community and pay it forward. You don’t need to pay a bunch of accounts to astroturf your new AI/fintech product or your series B raise. People have caught on to that playbook and it no longer drives engagement (if anything, it kills your credibility). If you’ve got something people are going to be excited about, I’m excited for you. I don’t have the biggest audience (far from it), but I’ve been blessed beyond measure by the community here, and, to the extent I can, I’d love to help. It’s the least I can do. Just shoot me a DM.

So is paying big anonymous Twitter accounts to QT your fundraise just a normal part of the launch playbook now

People tend to accumulate debt, 50k didn't solve their problems and they'd still have to work... On the other hand, they got a 50% chance to solve all their money problems (for now, because statistics say that people who win the lottery lose all the money in a few years). But taking that into consideration, people prefer gambling over making an effort to fix their finances.

@ramit The "try it 3x" rule is underrated. Most people need that time to think about their real needs.

Change your money psychology today: - You don't have to "justify" spending to anyone. If I love something and I can afford it, I get it! - If you're not sure if you'll love it, try it 3x to see. The first time your mind will be racing telling you you're "wasteful." The second time you'll be wondering what it means that you now spend $6 on a piece of bread. The third time, you'll actually be able to decide if you actually like it or not - There is no virtue in playing smaller than you have to - Take responsibility for your decisions -- you are in control of your own behavior. You do not need to play games with yourself in order to be a good person -- like "convincing" yourself something is worth it. You are not a disembodied creature who "can't bring themselves to buy things." (Notice how odd that language is, as if they're almost describing someone else.) If you don't want to buy it, say that. If you can't afford something, say that. If you are scared, say that -- and try it anyway - The point of money is not to hoard it. The point is not even to save it. The point of money is to use it to live a Rich Life

Honest money conversations with your partner don't start with "you spent what?" They start with "can we look at this together?" Blame closes the conversation. Curiosity opens it. That's why I built Vesta the way I did. No surprises, just shared visibility.

As a guy in his early 30s who launched something and got zero users on day one Can't tell you how many times I've sat there wondering if any couple or family actually cares about tracking their finances without handing over their bank login. Moments where the waitlist stays empty and the MRR is a big fat zero. But I keep asking myself: what else am I gonna do, quit and go back to Excel? There's no other option in my mind. Keep building, keep shipping, keep talking to real people. One day someone will find Vesta and think "this is exactly what I needed." Proud in advance of the version of me that kept going when nothing was working. And even if no one else shows up, I built something I actually use every single day
