I wasn't aware that Priti's parents paid off people smugglers in France to come via dinghy.
I was under the impression that they lived in Idi Amin's Uganda & were expelled, their property confiscated in a xenophobic tirade & came to the UK legally 🤷♂️
I hear Idi Amin was lovely.

@Barristerblog @CrimeLineLaw If I was a Justice of the Peace like very young Magistrate Lucy Elmes, I’d focus on my work as an ‘NHS Support Officer’ in the NHS, not pursuing a judicial career. That degree in ‘Criminology and Psychology’ she just completed hasn’t served her as well as might have been hoped.

Saunders v. Bristol Mags [2022] EWHC (Admin) 2544. Magistrate's comment "she can't get away with it because of an admin error," showed bias in granting pros app for adjnmt. Mags don't come out of this well, legal adviser does though. HT @CrimeLineLaw
