@thegame50fitty @shaynagoldman_ No, after 3, he would be RFA. What is best, losing him for noting with a 5 years contract or being forced to trade him after 3 years, you are sure to get something back, but you migh lose an elite player quicker.

really like the 5-year term for Bedard -- should help him juice that next contract even more when he's 26. wonder if other young stars take note of that from Bedard, Carlsson etc

Once Connor Bedard learns how to play without the puck, it's over for everyone. Upside is still enormous and he flashed it to start last season before injury. It wouldn't be a shock to see him become worth $15M during this deal, but for now he's still a work in progress.

@JFreshHockey How are you going to program the potential and the growth of a player? A floor and max rating, odds to reach the max potential? It could me nice that injuries impact the growth of a player and it’s potential. Or any wild factor, the players have a shitty father or like to party.

our current plan is to have an overall rating that guides trade value, free agency, etc. that represents the player's reputation and then attribute ratings that are basically blackboxed which your pro scouts are going to estimate (so they might think the player is under/overrated meaning opportunities to come out ahead) x.com/i/status/20785…

building out player ratings for our HockeyStats franchise mode game, this really was the logical endpoint of this whole hockey analytics thing for me lol

@MathVRenaud Selon ce que Pierre Lebrun disait, la coupe se donnerait au plus tard un peu avant la mi-juin si ça se rend à la limite. Le but de commencer plus tôt est évidemment de finir plus tôt, mais on veut également réduire le nombre de back-to-back durant la saison.

Le CH jouera son premier match à domicile de la saison le 6 octobre alors qu'il recevra la visite des Hurricanes de la Caroline. Le CH débutera sa saison mercredi le 29 septembre en affrontant les Maple Leafs à Toronto.

@TopDownHockey @JFreshHockey Look up GM Hockey Legacy /Renaissance from Eclectic Logique. When you won the cup, you also won an old hockey legend like Rocket Richard or Ken Dryden. Also, the gm could directly intervene in the locker room, sometime players would be mad about it.

@TopDownHockey @JFreshHockey I would love a new hockey management game. However, it need to be more than just managing numbers. You need a fun side, a wild X factor, some silly fun event inspired by real life events. Like players wanting to leave a team to join a friend.

We know Leo Carlsson signed a 5x18 making him the highest paid player in NHL history. The report also states that there were 4 teams that offer sheeted Leo Carlsson. Here’s my question: Why hasn’t Bedard gotten any huge offer sheets, or has he, and he just hasn’t accepted them?

@EttedguiDavid Bourque est plus vieux, donc plus d'années UFA et Bourque a augmenté sa production alors que Bolduc sa production a baissée. En fait, ils ne sont pas des bons comparables.

Mavrik Bourque vient de signer un contrat de 6 ans à 5,5 M$ par année. Le gars le plus content en ville, c'est Zachary Bolduc. Les deux ont 3 saisons dans la LNH et cumulent exactement 66 points lors des deux dernières saisons. Bolduc est un an plus jeune, mais Bourque joue au centre. Je suis persuadé que Kent n'avait pas l'intention de donner un contrat similaire... À suivre. @BPMSportsRadio @GeorgesLaraque
