Some great patterns today made by copying the coloured spots on the sticks. The children loved making the different patterns and talking about each one. @MrGSGC

Some children then used our smaller construction to design and build small tents for the peg people. They used their critical thinking and perseverance to create some amazing structures. ⛺

We have been enjoying playing some maths games this morning focussing on subitising up to 4. The children love seeing who can fill their tens frame first.

Gruffalo Footprint Shortbread 🤩 We continued to develop our knowledge and understanding of ‘half’ using half measures in a recipe to make Gruffalo shortbread. Children then chose a friend to share a biscuit with by cutting it in half @MathsMummy thanks for the recipe 😋

It’s my duty to tell you that my mother, Brenda Corcoran, died this morning after a sudden decline. Thanks to Cramlington Hospital for helping her live her final hours with dignity. She taught me everything. Bless her memory, and all our mams, and see you at the match tomorrow.

We have been trying to build a beanstalk tall enough to reach the castle in the clouds. We talked about whose beanstalk was the tallest/shortest. 🌱 We counted how many of our shoes it took to fill the Giant's footprint. 👣 @MrGSGC @MrsMalleySGC @MathsMummy #InternationalMathsDay
