“Nobody wants to pay taxes. Taxation is not friendly to the wealthy, middle class, and to the poor. Every human being expects development, but the question they don’t answer is how do you pay for it. You want a good highway, but you don’t want it to go through your land.” — President Tinubu.

Ekuke is trending because of this viral video where a Pitbull on the loose almost killed a local dog before the owner intervened. Yet it took him exactly 14 seconds to break the pitbull’s grip-lock on its neck. The owner blamed the Ekuke, arguing that the Pitbull is not usually like that, and something must have triggered it. Concerned persons still advised them to keep it restrained, otherwise if it attacks children, it will be a bigger problem. Ekuke is an Igbo nickname for Basenji breed of dogs, commonly referred to as local dogs. They are smaller, not physically aggressive, just dramatic. Pitbulls are muscular, violent and deadly. They bite and hold for longer due to their muscular jaws. A pitbull’s bite is about 250psi. An Ekuke’s bite is about 150psi. A human’s bite is about 120psi. If there was no intervention, the Ekuke would have died in minutes. Follow @TrendingEx for daily explanations! Move your estate electricity vending to @VendrNg and get free ₦10k on your prepaid.

Not a single sacrifice this President has made. When the economy is hardest, he makes zero sacrifice and lives large. Came into power and splurged on a new Jet, Yatch, mansion for VP, fleet of armored SUV, and billions for travel. Has a big cabinet with some of the most incompetent ministers we have seen. We now have an apartheid power supply system that has gotten worst. He goes off grid and splurges on solar. Fuel prices are high he mouths the same worthless CNG plan and tells Nigerians to be grateful. People are being killed in hundreds and lazily tweets 2 days later and when he manages go get himself to visit the victims, he addresses them at the airport. Every other day, something is being named after him. No decorum or class. Just embracing and encouraging shocking levels of subserviency from the shameless political class. Nigerians pay more for everything. A generation of young people are having their productive years wasted with no form of care or remorse. I have benefited absolutely nothing from Tinubu’s government. He promises better future that requires sacrifices. Sacrifices he has shown no interest in making. A leader should be an example. Make some sacrifices. Show you care. I don’t respect it!

🚨 Bruno Fernandes on Harry Kane: “If he had stayed at Tottenham another one or two seasons, he’d have been the best goalscorer ever in the Premier League. So, would he have been a legend or not? He would” “He decided to go to Bayern and the decision is good because he knows he has a big chance of winning trophies. And now we’re talking about Harry Kane that is scoring the same amount of goals he was scoring at Tottenham, but he might win a Ballon d’Or now because he’s going to win trophies…”, told @TimesSport.

🇳🇬 EXPOSED - NIDCOM Boss Abike Dabiri-Erewa’s Vulgar Social Media Meltdowns Undermine Nigeria’s Global Image, Fuel Diaspora Profiling The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, is under growing criticism from Nigerians for repeated use of insulting and unprofessional language on social media, with concerns that the conduct is damaging Nigeria’s international reputation. Her posts in April 2026 have drawn particular attention. In one instance, she wrote “Obingo 😩 Obi diot 🤣🤣🤣,” widely seen as a jab at supporters of Peter Obi. In other exchanges, she referred to Nigerians as “professional hackers,” “warped minds,” and used terms such as “Didinrin,” “Dodoyo,” and “mugu.” This is not an isolated pattern. In June 2024, she described journalist Samuel Ogundipe as “useless,” “miserable,” and “pathetic,” reinforcing concerns raised by Nigerians about her approach to public communication. Nigerians say the role of the NIDCOM chairman requires disciplined and measured engagement, especially when representing citizens abroad. Public communication from that office carries international visibility and reflects directly on the country. Many Nigerians in the diaspora already face scrutiny in different countries, and there are concerns that statements from a senior official that appear hostile or dismissive could reinforce negative perceptions and weaken Nigeria’s image. The issue remains clear. Public officials at this level are expected to communicate with restraint and professionalism, and Nigerians say repeated departures from that standard continue to raise serious questions about the country’s global standing.

I have a script for you @KevinblakC. There is a certain state where the governor is currently being packaged as a future presidential candidate. Meanwhile, behind the scene, the governor recently budgeted over 250million for the procurement of printers when they couldn’t even procure a single fire fighter truck in case of such emergencies. Before you know it, one mad fire incidence occurred with lives and properties lost yet, the governor is still being packaged on social media as the best in the country. Good story line and I sure say you go like am. LET’S SEE THE EDIT!!!

If you have not used banks outside Nigeria, I mean African banks, then your local champion post is ok Many others and I harbour a deep fear of updating our Nigerian banking app, as it may not work after that You go to Nigeria, and there is hardly any cash at ATMs, but folks under an umbrella in front of the bank have cash The transfer times in SA, Kenya, and Nigeria are similar; no one waits 2 days for a cash transfer. How can anyone post that? Like 48 hours? In 2026? Banking is also about credit. Do you know how many Nigerians have accessed a loan from a Nigerian bank? Less than 3%, if you add formal institutions, it rises to 6%. Kenya is like 16% itseat much higher in SA Nigerian banks are very innovative and resilient, but to turn banking into another political WhatsApp-driven commentary is banal
