@bbcemt It’s a shame Matlock fire station don’t look at the entrance to the Cavendish Park estate in the same way and the car park the council have blocked off and sale being denied to @MatlockBankCLT which would elevate the problem!

Even with me pushing for the old Studley community centre to remain as a community asset and be used by local youth groups as a community centre, from the moment I became a county councillor the Reform led county council have decided to just auction it off. I am apoplectic. Renting it to local community groups would have kept income over many years but instead they want a one off payment for some reason. Removing community assets while making short term financial decisions. . . I'm glad I left @reformparty_uk more and more, Because this is shameful. brutonknowles.co.uk/.../the-former…...

So far 108 have responded to our traffic & road safety survey. The results are in! 94% things have deteriorated since the car park closure75% witnessed bus or large vehicle unable to get through! 18% actually witnessed an accident 98% think re opening the car park would improve

Closing the car park has caused all sorts of problems for pedestrians. Around 35 cars have been displaced & they have literally nowhere to go. Coupled with a pavement width which can’t comply with current standards, this closure of the car park has had serious knock on effects.

A little sneak preview of a review of the Community Housing Fund, which we find has helped almost 1k homes get built or under construction, and 2/3rds have secured sites & planning consents. Will @mtpennycook/@AngelaRayner build on this success to grow supply in a v.popular way?

This is incredibly disappointing. We cannot build enough social homes as a by-product of private development - even if 1.5m over 5 years is achieved. More social housing grant is needed - it is great capital investment, pays for itself, and will save revenue spending as well.

Rachel Reeves asked about whether the Government will actually invest any more public money in building homes, replies, "We need the private sector to build homes. We're not going to be in the business of building those homes directly".

I'd add that at @CommLandTrusts we have found the current planning system now adds more than £10k to the cost of each home on small affordable housing projects, often more than the land!
