The endmyopia approach is different: Wear differential lenses (1.5–2.0 D weaker aka "computer glasses") for close work — eliminates the hyperopic defocus stimulus entirely Wear normalized lenses (slightly weaker) for distance — creates mild myopic defocus Active focus — consciously clear the blur, retraining the ciliary muscle Two roads. One is a lifetime lens subscription sold by retail optometry, the other is you taking back control. Keep feeding your eyes the signal that says "grow longer, clearer" — 8 hours a day, every day. Around the time of the interview, I was hearing reports of ALPR-avoidance apps being used (on occasion) for serious crime avoidance, and I conflated that with legitimate criticism. Being concerned about your privacy or how your local law enforcement agency conducts its operations isn’t terrorism, it’s American. DeFlock is not a terrorist organization, it’s an open source project that has gained popularity primarily due to our inadequate response to the questions and concerns that people have about ALPR.  Over the last 8 years, nearly 7,000 towns, cities and counties in America have purchased our ALPR cameras. While these cameras have done a tremendous amount of good in those communities, the recent awareness surrounding their existence has also spiked a fair share of criticism. I think we have failed to answer these questions and concerns at scale, and we are going to do a better job of that moving forward. I know @Rahul has banked a bunch of questions from X last week for us to answer, but feel free to reply with more here. He and I are going to do our best to catch up on these and answer them.

What would Web3 look like if founders and KOLs were personally accountable for the promises they make and the millions that disappear behind them? Picture the familiar cycle. A founder appears with a polished deck, a grand vision and just enough technical language to make the whole thing sound inevitable. KOLs arrive next, repeating the same claims with more confidence than the people building it. The funding comes in, the token launches, the early wallets sell, deadlines slip and the treasury slowly empties. Months later, the project is barely alive, the community is blamed for losing faith and everyone responsible has already moved on. Now imagine that they could not simply walk away. It would be a much quieter industry. Half the founders would stop announcing revolutions before they had built a working product. Roadmaps would become commitments instead of marketing props. Treasury wallets would no longer be treated like private bank accounts, and the people controlling them would have to explain every transfer, every insider allocation and every convenient disappearance of funds. KOLs would also think twice before selling certainty to their followers. They would have to disclose what they were paid, how many tokens they received, when they planned to sell and whether the team had given them information unavailable to the public. Promoting a project would no longer mean collecting a cheque, posting a thread and deleting the evidence when the chart collapses. Their reputation would carry an actual cost. Most importantly, failure and fraud would stop being treated as the same thing. A founder who builds openly, makes mistakes and loses honestly should not be placed in the same category as someone who raises millions, lies about progress, pays influencers to manufacture demand and quietly empties the treasury. Web3 has spent years hiding deliberate extraction behind the language of risk, innovation and decentralisation. Real accountability would not destroy this industry. It would remove the people who have been feeding on it. The builders would remain. The users would finally matter. Capital would flow towards products instead of personalities, and trust would have to be earned through evidence rather than bought through reach. The reason this sounds absolutely radical is not because it is unrealistic. Maybe because too many powerful people in Web3 have built their entire careers around never being held responsible.
