@JoeMerrick Why not release your own app? These apps are gaining traction because they beat you on UX. All your info is shared publicly online, so there’s nothing proprietary. If you compete on availability and ease of use, it reduces these apps’ selling points.

Still seeing the Pokopedia and Pokodex apps having errors I had/have on Serebii. Why those apps are still up despite having been publicly proven to have just scraped Serebii, I have no idea.

@ThePrimeagen @f4micom 1) 99% of users will not understand or use third-party software to convert your images, especially a CLI tool. 2) If your argument is that WebP is good because it’s easy to convert into common formats, why not just use common formats in the first place?

Such a shame to see the tech space become so radically polarised. I've been receiving hate mail all evening simply for covering DLSS 5. It's blatantly obvious it has incredible potential and is one of the most exciting developments in recent years (and there's been fierce competition for that spot). Incredibly short-sighted for people to dismiss it for minor and misinformed points, and to turn any discourse about it into a witchhunt. The tech community deserves better.

In 2026, that is equivalent to a salary of $28,531 per year when adjusted for inflation. $520,000 salary > $28,500 salary. Economic literacy is at an all-time low.

Going to leave you with this tonight: The best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you. Go outside, travel more, go to new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, go for hikes, see cities, countrysides, take your notebook, speak to people, ask questions, start businesses - go on more side quests. You can literally just do things, and the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you. Night gang.
