Port Royal Speedway officials, in conjunction with the @PASprintSeries, have announced disciplinary action following the events that took place during victory lane ceremonies at Saturday night’s racing program on April 18. Following the PA Sprint Series feature at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, April 18, driver Nick Sweigart used inappropriate language during his victory lane interview that included derogatory remarks directed at the speedway and its personnel. Port Royal Speedway and the PA Sprint Series are committed to promoting an environment that is welcoming to the entire family, including fans of all ages, as well as partners and sponsors who share those same values. The language used in victory lane on Saturday was not in line with that standard. As a result, the following disciplinary actions have been taken: Nick Sweigart has been suspended from competition in all divisions at Port Royal Speedway for a period of one year, effective April 18, 2026. He will lose credit for the win from April 18, forfeiting all associated track points and prize money for the event. This penalty, as levied by Port Royal Speedway with the support of the PA Sprint Series, may be accompanied by additional sanctions from IMCA RaceSaver Sprint competition. Port Royal Speedway and the PA Sprint Series remain committed to providing a professional, respectful, and family-friendly atmosphere for all who attend and participate in race day activities, both at the track and through broadcast partners.
