If you hate billionaires, go all the way, pussy.
Ditch the iPhone, the laptop, the tablet.
Get off the internet.
No Amazon, no big box stores, no Starbucks.
Grow your own food. Thrift your clothes. Walk everywhere.
And obviously no working for, buying from, or interacting with any company that scales beyond a farmers market.
Enjoy your abundance.

Yes. If you start in Atlanta, Georgia and go directly south, you will never hit South America.

tautologer@tautologer
it's really fucked up how far east South America is

@NinaDSchick @wing13nut Majority of that power demand will be delayed or never see energization. Data centers builds are historically behind schedule or cancelled
I do agree though, Texas is ideal for large power
English

Texas is ground zero for AGI.
ERCOT is processing 233 GW of new power demand requests. 70%+ Intelligence Factories. The queue has nearly quadrupled in a year.
Behind it we have 432 GW of new generation in the pipeline. Solar, batteries, gas.
Industrial power in Texas costs: ~8c/kWh. (Compare that to California: 22c.) For a hyperscale Intelligence Factory, that gap is the whole business.
Texas runs its own grid. ERCOT is the only major US system not under FERC. No federal review, permits move in months, not decades.
It is also the largest gas producer in America. It anchors the largest LNG export complex on Earth.
Energy generation mix: 42% gas, 24% wind, 13% coal, 12% solar, 9% nuclear.
(Modern gas peakers go from cold to full load in 3 minutes. That is what makes the Intelligence Factories work.)
Texas is the: #1 wind state; #1 utility-scale solar state; #1 oil and gas state.
AI is an electricity business at its foundation. The first constraints are gigawatts, space, and the right to build.
Texas has all three.

Humans: 100%
Gemini 3.1 Pro: 0.37%
GPT 5.4: 0.26%
Opus 4.6: 0.25%
Grok-4.20: 0.00%
François Chollet just released ARC-AGI-3 -- the hardest AI test ever created.
135 novel game environments. No instructions. No rules. No goals given.
Figure it out or fail.
Untrained humans solved every single one. Every frontier AI model scored below 1%.
Each environment was handcrafted by game designers. The AI gets dropped in and has to explore, discover what winning looks like, and adapt in real time.
The scoring punishes brute force. If a human needs 10 actions and the AI needs 100, the AI doesn't get 10%. It gets 1%. You can't throw more compute at this.
For context: ARC-AGI-1 is basically solved. Gemini scores 98% on it. ARC-AGI-2 went from 3% to 77% in under a year. Labs spent millions training on earlier versions.
ARC-AGI-3 resets the entire scoreboard to near zero.
The benchmark launched live at Y Combinator with a fireside between Chollet and Sam Altman.
$2M in prizes on Kaggle. All winning solutions must be open-sourced.
Scaling alone will not close this gap. We are nowhere near AGI.

Marathon Digital (MARA) announced today it sold 15,133 BTC for ~$1.1B from March 4-25. The proceeds fund a $1B repurchase of its 0% convertible senior notes (due 2030/2031), with the rest for general corporate use. CEO called it a strategic capital allocation to strengthen the balance sheet and support long-term growth (including AI/data center pivot). Shares up ~10% premarket.

My broker and I talked about this, I said I wanted to throw $100k at it as soon as it launches
Him - "Lets wait on it, I have clients that work for SpaceX that are planning on selling immediately. I think it will drop to start, then we will buy the dip"
I understand the idea, but its SpaceX. I think the retail is going to "outbuy" the dip and I will miss out on the initial (lowest) price
Anyone agree or disagree with above?

Solar will utterly dominate future electricity production
Katie Miller@KatieMiller
Solar is now the dominant source of new U.S. power capacity and is on track to surpass coal in total installed capacity before the end of 2026. 70 GW of new solar capacity is scheduled to come online in 2026–2027 → a 49% increase in operating solar capacity from the end of 2025.
