@NotScotBoras @CarmichaelDave It’s an asset like a nickel is an asset. Now Devin Carter can play his way into value. Schroeder was the one taking away mins. Hunter can still be traded next season or be a piece in the rebuild. This trade was fine. The lack of others is the problem.

@krishcoughran I love JJJ but if this trade happens I promise to finally throw in the towel on this franchise. This would be the new worst trade in Kings history and that’s hard to accomplish. The LaVine contract is awful, so so bad. It’s not this bad.

I'm not saying the Kings should do this, but I would understand if they did. A trade like this would give both franchises a new start (a rebuild for Memphis with a treasure trove of picks) and some hope (finally giving Sabonis the rim protection he needs).

Point of correction - this is not the first time the Kings are going to tear it down and rebuild. The Kings actually did that under Vlade from 2016-2018.

I’ve seen enough: The Sacramento Kings are entering the first phase of an official rebuild. The franchise is for the first time going to follow the OKC/SA/DET/POR blueprint. A minimum 2 year project is here.

Kings first order of business if they're truly rebuilding is to move DeRozan. He's having a really solid year and he's only guaranteed a small amount of money next season. That's a good contract, I think he can get the Kings something decent in a trade
