The horrific thing about tomatoes is that if a restaurant gets your order wrong and includes tomatoes in sandwiches or salads it completely infects the whole dish. There's no such thing as a clean removal of a tomato. The squishy disgusting nature of a raw tomato means that your whole dish has been invaded by an occupying force.
