@paygunnar @UnfortunateOs Do the Orioles not have enough players with a sub .600 OPS this year?
English

@UnfortunateOs That one other player could be pretty useful right now.
English

@zachbollinger18 We just have to know that this team isn’t good, and they’ll be VERY lucky to finish .500
English

@zachbollinger18 Knew what was going to happen as soon as they had no choice but to let Mayo take an AB in that situation.
English

@absurd_baseball @MDSportsblog We have enough outfielders with a sub .700 OPS.
English

Bases loaded no outs 2-3-4 due up.
Not a single run. Not a singular run.

@thejkuyken1 Grok told me otherwise but he’s been wrong before…

I’d love to have a Laureano on this team right now. #birdland

Trade deadline last year - results so far. Would the Orioles be better off this year with Laureano, O’Hearn, and Soto? Or are we a better team with eight prospects that aren’t playing in the majors right now? #birdland

@MattShields2201 Go troll somewhere else and stop flirting with me

Craig Albernaz on this sequence and the Orioles' offense as a whole:
"Yeah, Adley had a great at-bat, just a punchout. Pete looked like he got a good swing off and hit it straight up, and same thing with Sammy. Sammy's pitch was probably a little above the zone.
"But Civale did a great job. ... He had the guys off-balance. I mean, we had 11 punchouts, and it feels like almost all of them were looking. His command was really sharp tonight."
Jacob Calvin Meyer@jcalvinmeyer
The Orioles loaded the bases with no outs in the fifth inning. Here's what followed: Adley Rutschman strikeout Pete Alonso flyout Samuel Basallo flyout Baltimore is 0-for-5 with RISP and has left eight runners on base.
English

@HiMyNameIsJC_ @afkostka At a certain point we have to accept that these players simply are not MLB level talent.
English

Adley Rutschman and Pete Alonso are exactly who the Orioles want up with bases loaded, but Rutschman struck out and Alonso popped out to shallow left.
Then Samuel Basallo, with two hits earlier today, also pops out to strand the bases.

Taylor Ward walks for the second time today, and this loads the bases for Adley Rutschman with no outs. It's 5-0 in the fifth, but this is a big chance for the Orioles to get back into the game

@hadrianmarcus @bmore_sports8 Yes. That’s the point I just made. There is no longer any value.
English

@MattShields2201 @bmore_sports8 What is Mayo, Kjerstad and Cowser’s value now? Is there a team in need of a third baseman with a concrete glove, erratic throwing arm and ripping the ball at a torrid .163 pace. And his value is superior to Kjerstad’s. What was their value 18 months ago…starting pitchers worthy
English

@bmore_sports8 Basallo is hitting .273 against lefties. Beavers is hitting .308. So naturally Albernaz sits them for Mayo and O’Neill cuz aNaLyTiCs.
