Ok here's my boomer story: I have a daughter 34 yrs old. She put herself thru college, has a good job with the government. Married a miner, they had 2 sons. They bought a house and later bought a cottage on a beautiful lake. They don't complain, realize life is hard but the harder they work at it the better it becomes. When I want to talk about my will she say's Dad we don't want any of it, spend it all on yourself, you've worked hard for it, enjoy it. You see if you raise them right, give them a strong work ethic they need nothing from their boomer father. It's then you know you've done your job right.

@EdgeCrusher14 @LibertyDankmeme @JohnLeePettim13 That's great, but not really possible for most kids. This is the boomer experience. For most kids today this will not be an option unless they know someone in the industry. Even then regulations can make it impossible.

He didn't work harder than I did. He walked into a machine shop as a junior in high school and said he wanted to learn manual machining. They hired him part-time to learn from the old guy who did the manual machining. His senior year he made almost $40,000 working there. When he graduated, they gave him a full-time job. He is the definition of working smarter, not harder.
